It’s a matter of weeks before the astronomical summer begins on Friday, 21 June 2013. There is a high possibility that you are going on some kind of a beach holiday (or vacation if you read this in America). Like it or not, you are going to wear T-Shirts, shorts and other revealing outfits. Fear not. In this post we are going to show you how to get a beach body in time for the summer.
Over the past few months, we have published a variety of workout plans and weight training programmes to suite your level of fitness. Here is a selection of three workout plans (plus free downloadable PDF log sheets) that can be performed at home or in your gym. Two are full body workouts and the third is a six pack abs home workout routine, because everyone likes/wants a washboard stomach.
3 Day Lifting Plan
This plan is especially developed for the readers of Skinny Muscles by Chris Heskett who is a personal trainer, strength and conditioning coach and a champion physique competitor. The 3 Day Lifting Plan is for beginners who want to build muscles and have access to a gym with free weights.
It includes one full body workout per training day (3 in total). Chris recommends that you workout on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You can change the days to suit your schedule. 3 Day Full Body Workout
This is another one of Chris Heskett’s plans developed especially for Skinny Muscles. It is suitable for beginners and those who prefer to workout at home.
The 3 Day Full Body Workout requires minimal equipment – a pull up bar, resistance bands or dumbbells, a chair, stool or bench and exercise mat. Perform the exercises in circuit fashion and repeat 1-3 circuits per training day. Download the free PDF document to get started.
Six Pack Abs Home Workout Routine
A chiselled washboard stomach seems to be on everyone’s perfect body wish list. Everyone in the fitness industry seems to have an opinion on how to achieve the perfect six pack abs. One thing is sure: doing endless repeats and sets after sets of sit ups alone is not the right way to get a six pack.
