Happy Halloween, muscle freaks!

It’s time to let your alter ego go wild, dress up and party the night away in honour of all things scary. Yes, it’s Halloween and most of you will be celebrating the craziest and most scary day of the year. In true Skinny Muscles fashion, I am going to use this article to bring you some inspiration and the latest blog update.

I can’t believe how quickly the time flies. It seems like it was just yesterday when I did my first Halloween inspiration article for you all. You probably still remember Heidi Klum and her show-stopping costume I featured last year. If not, you can read it here.

You don’t have to spend a fortune on an outfit to have fun. In fact, you don’t even have to dress up and still capture the Halloween spirit at home. Yes, I am talking about myself here. I am not big on Halloween but at the same time, I don’t want to be left out. So this year, I have been looking at Halloween alternatives for those who prefer to stay at home but still feel like they are part of it.

Let’s start with the essentials: your protein shake. There are lots of recipes on the Internet for spooky Halloween shakes but my favourite by far is that of Simon Roshdy. He is “The Diet Kitchen” guy on YouTube and their channel is about “healthy food that actually tastes good” – their words, not mine.

A couple of days ago they featured a Halloween Pumpkin Pie Protein Shake. It captures all things Halloween and it takes no time to prepare. Have a look at the video and see for yourself.

Perhaps one of the most emblematic symbols of Halloween is the pumpkin, carved in all manner of scary creatures. When it comes to pumpkin carving, there’s one name that stands out – Ray Villafane. He started pumpkin carving as a hobby but his immense talent has turned him into one of the world’s best pumpkin carvers. Check out the video and his YouTube channel for some inspiration.

Even though this is an article about Halloween, I can’t resist the urge to mention a couple of blog updates too. They are all to do with Skinny Muscles’ presence on Google. You may know that Google+ have been rolling out their custom URLs for pages and personal profiles.

Go and check them out and if you are on Google+, make sure you subscribe/add us to your circles.

In other news, the PDF downloads are also working now. You have to like our facebook page in order to download any of the files.

I wish you all a very Happy Halloween and, whatever you are doing, I hope you have fun. Please feel free to share your costumes, pumpkin creation and any other spookiness on our social media channels.
