2013 has been both important and successful year for Skinny Muscles and the fitness models we feature. The year has been important because your favourite fitness blog has celebrated its first anniversary. 2013 has been successful because the number of loyal readers (like you) has been growing and reaching substantial numbers.
A major contributor to the success of Skinny Muscles is still the fitness models interviews that we try to feature every Wednesday. To mark that success, here is the list of the Top 5 most popular fitness models interviews in 2013:
5. Daniel Hammaecher
Daniel Hammaecher is a French fitness model and an International Men’s Physique competitor who knows how to wow the audience and the judges. He is also the proud owner of Athletic BootCamp – a concept that gives you the chance to learn, live, cook and train with him.
Daniel’s advice to those who want to gain weight and build muscles is:
“Don’t be afraid to experiment. Research different exercises and diets, try them out and see which ones work best for you.
You get more results when you are precise, so try and be as specific as you can when choosing workout plans and diets. Remember to eat clean and train hard.”
4. Kike Gil
Kike Gil is the first Spanish fitness model we featured. His fitness journey started when he was 10 years old. His advice to those who are new to fitness and working out is:
“Don’t give up before you’ve seen any results. Try to get through the first 3, 4, 6 months. That’s when you see that there is more to working out than just lifting weights. It’s a lifestyle, which you will learn to love.
Don’t waste your time at the gym if you are not following a good meal plan. I wasted many years like that.”
3. Jad Darwish
“If you put in the hard work, commitment and choose the right diet, you will see the results” and Jad Darwish is the living proof of that. His advice is:
“Like everything else in life, building a perfect body requires hard work, commitment and a good diet. Many people underestimate the importance of the diet.
You don’t need to be qualified dietician to eat clean. Try to spice things up and introduce new tastes and flavours to your meals.”
2. Tristan Edwards
Tristan Edwards is no stranger to being featured on Skinny Muscles. 2013 has been a great year for him and we are honoured that he always finds time to share his news with us. In 2013, Tristan launched his own sports nutrition company – ASD Performance. He was also in the UK edition of Men’s Health magazine – twice.
Tristan’s advice to those who are just starting out is:
“Diet is essential. Everyone has a different metabolism and what works for some might not work for others, so to achieve your ideal body you must first understand it.
When it comes to training be sure not to over train. At a young age this was my biggest problem.”
1. Johnny Starr
Johnny Starr took Facebook by storm and it’s no surprise that his interview is the most popular fitness model interview on Skinny Muscles. 2013 has been a big year for Johnny and we look forward to another interview with him soon.
Johnny’s advice to those who want to build a body like his is:
“My advice to people who are ectomorphs like myself is to really, really deeply learn about nutrition and compound training.
Forget about wasting hours in the gym or at home doing 20 minutes on isolation tricep extensions, when you should be recruiting more muscle and cellular breakdown by doing compound exercises e.g. dead lifts, squats, bench press, pull ups etc. They are a lot harder but for good reason.”
